Have you seen these yet? It's a bowl with a divider in the middle. You can put cereal in one side, and milk in the other, then your cereal never gets soggy. I think I would like it best for chips and salsa.
And, for the kids that hate their foods to touch, this would be great! It's kind of like the old version bowl they use to make for toddlers.
