All tuckered out

Here's a cute little picture we took Thanksgiving day. Meghan had hung out with Sherrill while he fried the turkey. After all the hard work, she was really tired.

Bye....Going to miss you

I'm off to Grandma Cat's house. Grandaddy Joe goes to Virginia for some test tomorrow.
I'm leaving Meghan in charge.

Thought for the day

See my new snow

Can you belive the snow we got in just 24 hours. WOW!! 6 inches I know it's not alot compared to Cindy, but for me it's alot. I do hate shoveling snow. But it does make everything pretty.

Catherine's 1st Day of School

As you can see Catherine started school today. She will go to the county preschool Monday and Wednesday. Hopefully this will help her speech problem.

My Cake Pops

I made cake pops to take to Thanksgiving dinner at my mother in laws house. THere would be 15 kids there and I wanted to make something fun, so when I saw the post on cake pops I went right out and bought the stuff. The were a big hit. Kurt liked them so much, he asked me to make them for the firefighter's at work. So I did, and now the firemen are happy with the results. Everyone needs to try them. My kids had a blast helping decorate them. Thanks Mom for the post

PS Don't talk about my ugly pop's, they were good.

My new room

As you can see we have a new living room. If you can't tell what the difference is, the room has a new floor. The ugly green carpet is gone and in it's place is 20' tiles. Yippie. Next is the kitchen

Looking for Werewolf eggs

Sherrill went to Sam's Club last week and bought some eggs, 3 dozen to be exact. He left them in the van for a day and a half, so I told him to go put them out in the woods for the animals to eat.
He carried them out there and piled them up.

The kids have been hanging outside late in the evenings, and Sherrill keeps telling them to come inside because the werewolves might get them. So, every night he is out in the yard howling. Meghan goes to the door to howl, but immediately retreats to the house once she hears a noise.

Well, today Sherrill takes her to the woods behind the house to see the eggs, Again. He tells her that some have cracked and that the werewolves are flying around. She takes off running, with him following behind her. What HE doesn't know is Mandy was at the bathroom window with the camera.

So lives the legend of the werewolf. There are even more stories about the vampires!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE

Let me tell you about our Thanksgiving so far. Sherrill and I were planning on going out of town. Dan was coming to town to be with Mandy and the kids. Tuesday night we learn Dan is NOT coming to town, and Mandy is scheduled to work Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. So, we stayed home to babysit. We had the turkey James had given us, so we might as well cook. By 11:00 am Seth and Meghan were starving, so Mandy fixed them beenie weenies. Around 12:30 or so Sherrill put the turkey in the pot. It cooked for it's 3 minutes per pound, and turned out just beautiful.
Taking it out of the pot the back with legs and thighs separated from the breast, so I just put them in two separate pans. The breast was PERFECT, if I do say so myself. When I tried to separate the thigh from the leg, there was still a little bit of pink. "OH no, I'm not touching that". So, the back, thighs, and legs went straight to the oven. Sherrill has just now taken it out.

So, for our Thanksgiving dinner, it was Sherrill, Mandy, and myself. The kids were still stuck to the TV. All is quiet now. Sherrill and Mandy are napping, and the kids are still watching TV.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone. Hope everyone is happy!

Nothing more to say!

Christy,
Doesn't this remind you of Aunt Pauline?

Cake pops

This looks like a great project for the kids. Mandy, I need some candy melts!

Saturday afternoon visit

Guess who came to visit Saturday. Yep, Wendy and Olivia. Randy and Cameron had gone four wheeling at Busco Beach, so Wendy and Olivia came here. Cameron carried his dirt bike. The picture above is him on his 4 wheeler at his house......stolen of course from facebook.

It was a nice afternoon. The kids had fun playing together and we had time to catch up. It's fun to watch your children grow up, with children of their own, and they still have a sparkle in their eye. You've done a great job Wendy.

And by the way, tell Randy we missed him and Cameron. Hope he didn't spend his two dollars all in one place!

Putting up the trees

Last Friday I decided it was time to begin the task of putting up the trees. Sherrill had already done his part with the outside, so my part was left to do. Mandy and Sherrill had gotten them down from the attic for me. All I had to do was put them together. So, I had to move the fall tree from the living room to the foyer. Then I put together one tree in the living room. I was working on the big tree for the dining room, but couldn't get it in the stand. So, I call Abby and she comes over to help. She is good at fixing out the lights. She got the dining room tree up and decorated (the turquoise one). Started with the next one, but all the lights didn't work. Sherrill worked on it for about an hour and still no luck. I offered to pay Carter 2 cents and within 2 minutes he had found the connection. Can you believe that! So we got the next two trees up, and decorated, leaving Mandy the one for her room. Thanks Abby for your 5 1/2 hours of work!
Great Job!

Snow in Washington

The Roller family finally got to play in the snow. No more dry desert sand like Vegas. Chris ran out before Sunday School class to play. Eli came home and built his snowman, probably the first one he ever remembers. And here we are miles away with temperatures supposed to rise to 76 today. Heat on, heat off, Heat on, AC on!
That's all folks!

McEwan Update

Farmer Brown was trying to eat Tom the turkey. So Tom hid from Farmer Brown behind a bee hive. Farmer Brown still wants his turkey dinner, so Tom will cook a "silly" turkey to fool him! Tom cooked him a beat up bananas on a greasy glove. Farmer Brown sat at the table holding his knife and fork. While he was dreaming of turkey dinner, Tom walked in with is "silly" turkey. The farmer looked surprised! He said, are you kidding me. Are you trying to make me sick. -The End-

This story was brought to you by Kenneth. He made this creative and silly story for school and was very proud of it.

Luke is currently learning how to add number's and is doing lots better in writing his letters.

Catherine will be starting school after Thanksgiving. She will go 2 days a week and Mommy will love it just as much as she does.

Jacob is just a stinker, he has learned to climb on chairs and other objects to get over gates and over obstacles in his way. He is official a MONKEY.

Kurt is being put to work and redoing my kitchen. Whoo Hoo!! NEW KITCHEN!! oh and I also get NEW HARDWOOD FLOORS in my Living room. Yippie!! Can you hear that whip crack!!

That's all from us

Have a good week!

How is your week going so far? Mine has been OK, not much to speak of. Yesterday I carried Rudy to the VA hospital in Fayetteville. For those of you who have never been to a VA hospital, it is usually quite an experience. We were able to get in and out in one hour. That is almost NEVER done. For anyone who knows a single woman looking for a REAL MAN......this is the place to go looking. I love my gay friends, and not to speak ugly of them, but these guys there do not walk with a bounce to their step. A few of the doctors did however! I probably talked to over 25 guys, most of them with ponytails from the hippie era. That just seemed to be what I attract.

Today I spent my day doing book work for my dad. Meghan and Sherrill were out hanging Christmas lights. No great or important news here. Maybe another day.

That's all for now!

Dad working

Hello family.   So I had off today and mom had to take Uncle Rudy to the doctors.  So while mom was gone and Meghan was napping, I killed flies and dad cleaned the oven.  :)

Meghan at work....

So while I was at work today, mom put Meghan to
work.

According to mom, they started hurting Meghans hands so mom told her to get the grabber.

Then when she was done she got to burn them with papa.  :)
