Just in case you haven't met the neighbors before; Hi, I'm Abby. My husband is James. We have 3 kids, Lauren, Carter, and Isabella. It is soooo nice to finally meet you! :)

hey everyone! sorry i am never on here at all. i have been super busy with an amazing guy that is now in my life :) we are always together! even jerrud and cindy never really see me because between him and work i am never home! if i am he is by my side! he buys my stuff all the time and treats me right! he even left me roses in my car last night when i got off work. what a surprise to come to after a stressful night at work! anyways, as im typing this he is beside me now :) but i had a great christmas and hope everyone did as well. Love you all!

Hamster....

Here she is.........

Yes everyone, thanks to Kathy and Christy getting a hamster for their house, I was talked into getting one for our house. The kids call her Rosie. She is a robo dwarf hamster. Dan said the kids could not have one but I guess that's what he gets for not living with us much. :). My computer still isn't working so I can't upload a pic. I'll get one of her with my phone and get mom to upload it for me.

Christmas

OH My!!! Here I go....I have been so busy that I never post or read this blog...bad big sis...anyway. This year has been a big challenge for the Murray house but we managed to have a good holiday. We do not attend church but it was wonderful to hear our children comment on the manger scenes and they were very knowledgeable. So.....Olivia only asked for threee things and got them all!!! (Mirror, babydoll and princess sheets) Cameron is turning into quite the boy and wants it all. Randy and I received gift cards to our favorite places to eat and we will enjoy them. We finally got a Wii and Cameron beats my butt on everything. I hope that all my family had a wonderful Christmas and a happy New Year!!!

Merry Christmas.......the aftemath

Well, Christmas has come and gone.......leaving Sherrill a mess like this! Meghan and Seth had already opened their presents an were gone. Lauren, Carter and Isabella opened theirs and cleaned up the mess. Then Christmas night Sherrill started in with his. He had opened Cindy's earlier in the day. This is the mess he had left behind.

I wanted to make sure he wasn't depressed, so he got lots of presents. He didn't even want to return any. He was a little grouchy, but all in all he did fine. At least he got to talk to EVERYONE!

Our Presents this year

Sorry no pictures to upload, still don't know how to work this stupid printer to get pictures to upload. Well the kids had a blast, we were up at 4:00 am to open presents, Santa was very good to us this year. Kenneth got a Diji, batman stuff, transformer guy, new light saber and a new skee ball game. Luke got a Leapster 2, light saber, a big Giga ball ( that is a ball that you get in and have some one push you around), pin ball machine, spy gear. Catherine got a tea table and tea set, play kitchen, Leapster, view finder, barbie car and barbies. Mom got socks, work out game for the Wii, and a remote start for my van. Dad got 5 new hunting shirts, portable GPS for hunting, gun mount for the 4 wheeler, and new fishing supplies. Our family gift was a 40 inch LCD TV. Me and Kurt sleigh jacked Santa and got the good stuff out. Can't you tell. Oh yea and Jake got baby toys and a new walker. I hope everyone had a great day. Kurt left right after we opened our presents and will be gone till the 31st. The only reason I can still make it and not be sad is going shopping after Christmas for some good deals. Thank goodness for Credit Cards SSSHHHHH don't tell Kurt :) Merry Christmas

Christmas story

Christmas activities are coming to a quiet end. All our bellies are full, the trash is waiting to go out, and the kids are playing with their toys. How many of us thought about the real meaning of Christmas? If you go to church, I know your kids know about Jesus, the manger, and the wise men. How about doing good things for people, and just being kind in general.

Hope you and your family know how much you are loved and appreciated. I hope you know too that even though I might not talk to you alot on the phone, or threaten to spank your child, or almost forget a birthday that I wouldn't trade any one of you. Even though from time to time we might bicker, I do know that deep down everyone DOES love their brother and sisters.

I am glad that we are all a family, for better or worse, rich or poor, etc, etc.

Merry Christmas everyone, and know that we love you!

Another Mandy visit to NC

Yes everyone, I'm going back to NC in March but this time without the kids. :). I'm going to go around and label everything in the house that I want when mom and die die. :). REALLY. So we will start a list.... Let me know what you want and I'll tag it for you also. First come first get. :)

Also, in May I will be going to SD to see Kelli's grad. :).

If anyone else would like me to come visit them, let me know.

So as you all know by now, I left my Christmas cards at moms house and she sent them out for me. Yes, they do look strange but that would be Dabs fault. I let him make the cards and that is what he came up with.

So thank you mom for addressing and sending my cards out!! We had fun while we were there. I'll look at Seths school schedule and see when I can come back out. Have a great Christmas and be nice to dad!!

More Presents .......

Meet my newest best friend.....the UPS truck. He comes on a daily basis, sometimes twice a day. Girl dog doesn't even bother to move off the front porch when it arrives. They just stack the boxes around her. Maybe Sherrill won't be so depressed after all this Christmas.

I just can't seem to keep Sherrill OUT of the kitchen. Mandy brought in assorted snacks, and he just can't stay away.

I thought about fixing some of these cockroach clusters and see if they will work. It is simply a popcorn ball with pecans on the outside. As Kathy would say....."How cute is that".

Tickets for all Santa trains were sold out. We decided to walk up and wait just in case...and someone gave us four tickets. Eli is in heaven!

Church Day

As you can see some went to church, and others didn't. I stayed behind to keep Meghan. She is NOT the sit in church and be quiet type of kid. She would definitely fall under the "Holy Roller" category.

Mandy is walking around in her jacket because she is FREEZING here....and it's only in the 50's today.

So, here's a picture that ONE sister sent the OTHER sister. Then the OTHER sister had to send it to mom. Not mentioning any names. Guess I better be thankful I got one at all!

Party at Grandma's House

Mandy made it back from Elizabeth City yesterday. She was able to see Aunt Debbie, Travis and Kelli and their daughter Sydney, and Tristen and Brittany. Grandaddy Joe had Seth and Meghan driving the riding lawnmower this time. I guess it was too cold to pull out that tractor again!

After Mandy got back we decided to have a Party at Grandma's. The neighbors came over and the fun began. By 11:00 pm Seth was telling ghost stories, so Grandma slipped off to bed. By 11:30 everyone in the house was asleep, except Grandma of course.....time to watch CNN.

6:45 am Carter is awake and eating chocolate with Grandpa! This is the life.

Home alone

I'm home alone for a little while. Sherrill left this morning around 6am to go to my parent's house to paint. Mandy followed him in her car. She is going to spend the night, but Sherrill will be heading on back. So, it's just me and the dog.....you know how much I like that!

No news to report. The house is really quiet without Mandy's kids. It just doesn't seem the same. I think I miss them.

Hi everyone

Hello everyone. As you all see, I'm alive and the kids are having a blast. Mom and dad are having fun I think but they now see how much of little monsters my kids can be. We are getting ready to head back out to grandma Cats this week for the second time. The kids loved it there. This trip I'm going to go find Aunt Debbie since she was working the last time we went.

It rains like every other day here. I was planning a day trip to DC but they are suppose to be getting 18 inches of snow. Thanks for sharing it Christy. :)

Well Child Check

Well we went to the doctor today. Luke, Catherine, and Jacob had well child check ups
Catherine is 24 lbs and looks good just on the low end of the scale.
Luke is 36 lbs. and is also on the low end of the scale
Jacob is 12.9 lbs and is on the upper end of the scale.

The boys got picked on today, Luke got 4 shots and Jacob got 3. Catherine just skated by with just a look over. I did not do this all on my own, Kurt was home and I made him go with me. I am glad that he did, but all he did was complain about how long it was taking. It only took 1 1/2 hours. He's just not us to doing doctor visits

Oh Kenneth got out of it by going to school. But he needs his H1N1 booster. YIKES!! He does not do well with shots, gotta hold him down or sit on him.

All is well, except of the 6 inches of new snow we just got. The kids had a blast playing in it.

Little Chilly here

Seth and Meghan spent part of the day today outside with Grandpa. He was getting up leaves.
Seth can now drive the lawn mower, and ride Meghan. I don't know why Sherrill hasn't pulled out the four wheeler.

I spent the day in Greenville with Uncle Rudy. Mandy got to spend the day with dad.

No other news.

Gingerbread House

This is what Seth, Sherrill, and Mandy did yesterday. It was cold and rainy, so they went to Lowe's for some free entertainment. Seth made a gingerbread house. The top actually opens on one side. Meghan stayed home with me and slept. She had been up since 3:00 am the previous night.

Going to Grandma's

Saturday we went to Grandma Cat's. Mandy and I loaded up with the four kids and off we went.

Sherrill stayed at home.....still sick. We had a great time. Dad's birthday was a couple of weeks ago, and Lauren thought she was going for a birthday party. Mandy went out and got cake and ice cream. Then Lauren refused to eat the cake because it has lizards on it. She did eat her strawberry ice cream though!

Seth and Carter were eager to ride the tractor. Meghan didn't want to at first, but once she saw the boys, she was ready to go. Lauren is too much of a lady to want to ride.

We had a great time, even the stop in an empty parking lot for Carter to pee!

Today is a rainy cold dreary type of day. Meghan is inside playing dress up.

Sherrill is still in bed sick. I'll see if he will let me take a picture.

We will be going to Grandma Cat's on Friday.

Kids at work......or play

Mandy had some free time today and decided to let the kids help her make some cookies and pretzels. You should have seen all the finger licks and nose rubs. We divided out the pretzels

so each kid could have their own. With all the colds and coughs we decided to play it safe.

Grandpa is the only one suffering right now. He's been in bed all day!
