Jack Dog

Sherrill has been working out of town this week, and Jack is confused AGAIN. He refuses to eat, refuses to sleep in his room, and is down right annoying.
I get up early every morning to take him out for a walk, and to feed the kittens. Then I come back inside and fry his bacon. As usual, he refuses to eat it. So, it sits in his bowl all day.
At night he gets his boiled chicken, but last night I decided to spice things up for him and gave him BBQ chicken. Nope, still refuses to eat.

I was in the kitchen making some no bake chocolate oatmeal cookies, and Jack went to the bowl and started eating his breakfast from this morning. Then I gave him some chicken. He ate that too.
He KNOWS that Sherrill is coming home tonight.  I think I have figured it out.

When Sherrill is out of town, I don't cook. I'll just eat leftovers or a bowl of cereal. But, when it is time for him to come home, I have to cook something. Jack knew I was in there cooking, and could smell what was going on, so he must have known that "fat boy" would be here soon.

He's out on the patio steps now waiting faithfully for his Master.

Sorry I have been slack on posting. I'm just trying to get back in the groove of cooking and cleaning after 2 months of vacation.

My New Toy

See my new toy!
While I was at Kat's I got and email from Staples saying I had $38.00 to spend in rewards before Sept 30th. There was nothing I really needed, so I was going through the sales circular online and saw this!
Yes, just what I need. A Chromecast so I can hook to my TV and watch movies in my room! No, I don't pay for an extra box for my TV. So, now today I am going to hook this baby up and try it out.
I have the Roku in the living room, but operating two remotes gets aggravating. So, I am going to hook this up to my phone or iPad, and have fun!
If you need me, I will probably be in my room watching movies. Oh, I need to move one of my new rocking chairs in there!

Wendy sent us these the early part of July, but Sherrill didn't know how to scan them.
So, finally, let me present the two cutest Murray Kids ever.........Olivia and Cameron!

Where did it go...........

Remember years ago when I would go buy and entire rib eye and have it cut into steaks, then in no time at all the steaks would be gone and we couldn't figure out where they went. Well, it has happened again.

When I left the freezer was so full, you had to rearrange stuff on top just to get it to close. When I get home, there is so much room I could climb in it and go to sleep.  And then there's the refrigerator.
It is so empty, when you open the door, it almost sucks you in.

No butter. No margarine. No cheese. 3 eggs. A little bit of milk. No fruits. No vegetables.
No bread in the house. No cookies, chips, or snacks, except lunchtime nabs. This man has eaten everything that is not tied down!

I was just entering his 2 months of bank statements into Quicken. He spent anywhere from $7.77 one week to a high of $27.00 one week for groceries. Looks like the man ate for 9 weeks on less than $150.00.  I keep telling him I have to go to WALMART and he tells me all we need is bread.

Guess I need to go weigh him to see how much he lost. Now, for the $150.00 he spent, I think he ate that much in meat. Poor Sherrill. Guess next time I need to find him a cook!

Perfect way to start vacation

Off to Waves, NC for a week but I had to make a detour.  I've missed them like crazy and couldn't pass up the chance to see them.  :-)

Chris at Comic Con In Salt lake City

Chris has a birthday in 4 days. He decided to celebrate by going to Comic Con in Salt Lake City.

Road Trip

Today we went on a road trip. Christy, Kenny, and myself headed to St George to go get a truckload of bread for the Piggy Piggies, and to go to Tai Pan.

Tai Pan is a store kind of a cross between Carolina Pottery and Pier One Imports. I was looking for some unique Halloween decorations, and found them too! That's what I've been up to.

Now, on the other had Kat had to leave work early to go pick up Isaac at school. She missed a few
hours of work until Eli got home. Please, someone find that girl a nanny!
