Accident at Crestwood Place
Lauren was out riding her bike at Aunt Mandy's yesterday afternoon. I'm not sure of the details, but she fell off her bike, and ended up with a swollen arm around the elbow. The doctor was called, and suggested she go to the hospital for an Xray. Little Miss Lauren HATES doctors. She is afraid of them. Off she goes anyway. X rays are clear, and she was able to go back home without any intervention. I'm leaving out all the drama that went along with this event. Let's just say this was quite "traumatic" for her.

Sanitize, Deodorize, and Disinfect..........
This is what I saw this morning when I pulled out the table. I knew it was going to be a mess, so I had already prepared myself. I had knew it would be too much of a job to tackle this morning, so I decided I'd wait until after lunch.
When 1:30 rolled around (after the Young and the Restless) I decided to take on my task. After using a half of bottle of ammonia and dish detergent, my kitchen floor has been sanitized, deodorized, and disinfected! Now you may be thinking, "How did it get to be such a mess?" Well, that's simple. Jake (AKA BIG MAC) sat at the end of the table. Right next to him in the corner would sit Catherine or Meghan. Everyday some able bodied adult DID sweep the floor, usually just pulling out Jake's chair, and not the stool in the corner. Thus, the food and JUNK began to accumulate. I even found one of my GOOD forks in all that mess!
Now I must confess to Sherrill that my "babies" made a bigger mess than HIS baby!
Poor Jack......
Jack was up barking by 8:30 AM. He knew the "Little peeps" were always up and about by this time. I open the gate for him, and instead of making his usual trek down the hall, he stops by the first bedroom, goes in and sniffs the little bed, and the big bed. He turns around, walks out and continues on to the living room. He goes and sniffs the couch, the walks to the foyer. He sniffs around, and realizes the shoes are not lined up under the bench. The room is empty, the shoes are gone, so off he goes to the kitchen. I open the door for him, and he goes out to the garage door, and starts sniffing around there. "What"! The kids must be gone. So, he just stretches out on the step, where the kids have bumped him off numerous times, closes his eyes, and I do believe there was a smile on his face!
Good bye Little Peeps. I think Jack misses you already!

Party time at Grandma Kitty Cat's
Saturday we went to moms. Her neighbor across the street was having a yard sale. By the early afternoon, she (the neighbor) came to the house and told mom she could go over and get anything left that she wanted.
Well, you know Grandma Cat, she wanted EVERYTHING. Dad takes his truck over, and loads up the stuff, TV, desk, antique table, and about 6 boxes of miscellaneous stuff. The boys bring the boxes inside, and the auction begins. Grandma Cat picks up every item, one by and and lets the kids shout out who wants it. There were over a dozen of little girl pocket books, brand new matchbox cars, kids clothes, stuffed animals, candles and home decorating stuff, and some general junk! It took well over and hour to sort through everything. The kids were happy, the Grandma was happy, and the mom's were just rolling their eyes...........just more "stuff to deal with". All in all, just another day at Grandma's!

A Day in the Life.........
Today was quite a fun filled day. I got up this morning with the kids. Christy was able to "sleep in" for a brief time. The boys spent their time in the garage playing video games. As for me, I sat in the chair and held little kids telling them stories. By the time breakfast was over, it was already time for lunch. We got that ready and did another massive feed. The boys went back to the garage, and Christy was brave and carried Meg, Catherine, and Jacob out shopping. She returned with bubbles and water guns for the kids.
Sherrill carried Luke to have the propane tank filled and then to the Dollar store. It's real fun to have grandkids that LOVE a Dollar store!
Then, Carter came over to tell PaPa he needed a fishing pole, so Sherrill carried Carter to the bait shop to get what he needed. Mandy came in from work, Lauren and Izzy came to visit, and Christy started cooking. She cooked enough for all the families, so there was another mass feed. Two tables were filled and some were standing! Grandma was on "dish duty" today, and did I fail to mention I still REFUSE to use the dishwasher. All by hand is my method. Christy went out with the kids to play with their bubbles, and oh, I think Abby was there too. Sherrill WALKED Jack and the boys until their sides were hurting.
Everyone came in for showers, so now I am up doing laundry, getting ready for another day. I have two little stragglers up with me watching TV waiting to fall asleep.
Tomorrow we go to E-City, so there will be NO cooking. Pizza and chicken nuggets will be on the top of the food chain. Perhaps some fried chicken in there somewhere.
It's about time for me to go watch CNN to catch up on the current events.
Good night to all.
