Mom MIA this week

Hello all.  Mom will be MIA most of the week.  Uncle Rudy has been admitted to Vident Medical in Greenville and is in ICU.  From the last update I got they said he had a stroke but wasn't sure when and there's other stuff going on and they are trying to figure it out.  So mom will spend most of her time in Greenville all week.  This means dad is home alone and will be needing people to call him.  I work nights til 9 so I'm not gonna be able to.

So if everyone could please just keep Rudy in ur prayers and have the grandkids call dad.

"I Want a Round Egg"

One night this week we had country ham, grits, and eggs for dinner.  I had the grits going in one pan,
ham in another, and had just started cooking my eggs in another. I use my small 8" pan, drop in two eggs, break the yolk, and flip them over.......all while keeping them in one big perfect circle.
As I was taking the eggs out of the pan, I heard a voice behind me "I want a round egg."  What you don't know is Sherrill usually likes to cook his own eggs, but I told him I would make him one.
He got that big smile on his face like a kid! I wonder what he would do if I fixed him these ! ! !

So on mothers day dad told me I wasn't allowed to get him a new phone for Father's Day.  (Since mom got one on Mothers day) And since I don't listen well, I came to town today with new phone in hand.  He's actually not getting it on Father's DAY so that made it okay.  😊😊  So now dad has the military top of the line flip phone.  And yes, I programmed numbers in the phone.

Mom's knee has been hurting, so I bought her a Hoveround. She hasn't been able to go up and down her steps, so Larry built her a ramp. This was her trial run.

Overlook the hair and messy house. That's just a fact of life as you age!

Ma Keel is giving me a little trouble today!
I turned her off last night before the storms came, then this afternoon when I turned her on, she wouldn't boot up. So......what can I do except call Kat.

She looked it up online, but I was afraid to do what it said. So she got me the number for Ten Plus (the place that took the hard drive out of the Mac that got fried from the lightening!) So I called them,
and they told me what to do. I was instructed to hold down command and S as soon as I touched the start button.

This was just what I needed to remind me to send my files to the cloud. That's the next thing on my list.

Pa at Work

We are still ending up the last of the carport construction. The electrician has to come and install the lights and ceiling fan. Sherrill had asked him for a price to replace the motor in the attic fan. The old man decided the quote was too much, so he decided to do it himself.

Last week he spent a couple of hours just getting it off. He had to work from the attic, and the top of the house. So yesterday he decided to install the new motor. He ran into a few problems, and got the man next door to help him out..... in the rain.....on top of the house.

After three hours the job was completed ......... and attic fan running nicely.

I think I would have just paid the electrician! ! !
