Last of the Pictures

I am NOT going to sleep!

Just waiting for some food.

Always smiling!

Before I got sick.

Branson Bill put away for the night.

Come on, I'll hold you.

After I got sick.

Smile....time to go.

These were some of the last pictures in the camera. You can just look at Tristen and tell how bad she felt before she left.  I hope she is all better now. Sherrill went back to work today. I guess he's better.

Sherrill sick!

Sherrill woke up this morning with the same stomach bug. He spent most of the morning in the bathroom. At one point he tried to get Mandy to take him to work. They made it as far as the store to purchase some Gatorade, and he came on back home and went to bed. He's up now, and has decided to give it another try.
He has to go to Princeton to check out a house that is supposed to close tomorrow.

Now he knows how Tristen felt! Poor little Isaac had it too yesterday.

On the Road Again

Kat left this morning around 6:30. She had to drive to Wichita, Kansas, (5 1/2) hours, board the plane. Fly 2 hours. Off the plane at Las Vegas, then drive 6 hours to Reno. She made it to Vegas, now she is on her way home. Cindy, Kelli and the kids made it home safely. Sherrill and I are in Lexington, Kentucky. We still have 545 miles, (9 hours) to go. We lost and hour today because of time change. I have to make it home tomorrow before dark.

Our hotel is right next door to Cracker Barrel, so Sherrill just walked over to pick us up to dinners. Nice!
I'm exhausted, so I'm cutting this post short.
Hope everyone had a good day!

Megs favorite uncle

She was so happy to see her Uncle Jamie.  When she saw him she jumped out of the truck and ran over to see him.  :)

Busy, Busy Day

Today has been another one of those days. After getting in around 2:00 AM, poor Cindy had to get up around 6:00 to be at Silver Dollar City by 7:00 to get half price tickets. She was coming in the house as Sherrill was getting out of bed. After that she helped get the "crew" fed and carried Tristen, Nate and Eli to the amusement park. Sherrill, Kat, Isaac, Kelli, Blake and I stayed behind. We just kind of "veged out". Cindy brought the kids home around 2 for lunch, then by 5 they were off again to the park for more rides and to watch the light parade.
While she was gone this time Sherrill, Kat, Iassac and I went downtown for some last minute shopping. Kelli stayed home and got ready. Then when Cindy got back with the kids her and Kelli went out for some last minute shopping. The boys were exhausted, and just laid out watching TV on their return.

Most of the food has been thrown out, cars partially packed, and all the little angels are now in bed. It's been a long day for everyone, but an exciting one. This has been one fantastic week. Not a cross work has been spoken, except for me fussing at Sherrill's driving! I think everyone has thoroughly enjoyed themselves. This will be a vacation that we will never forget. For those of you that weren't able to come, we hope to see you next time. It was nice keeping in touch with all of you with phone calls, texts, emails, and pictures.

We will be up at 5:30 AM preparing for our departure home. Kat leaves first at 6:30 driving to Wichita Kansas to board her flight. Cindy plans on leaving at 7:30 back to South Dakota, and we will be leaving shortly after that. Please keep all of us in your prayers as we travel. Thank Cindy, Kat, Kelli and family for making this trip such a great one!
I love you all.

Food, Food, Food

Have I told you yet that we have had the best food ever! Kat just made us some potato soup that was delicious!
I watched Cindy make her fruit salad the other day, and I am going to try to put the recipe here. I'll get her to check it and see if it is right. She makes the sauce the night before.

Thanksiving night/Black Friday

Cindy, Kat, and Kelli left around 9:30 last night to go get some deals. The stores here opened at 10:00pm. They did the customary Walmart, Best Buy, and the Outlet stores. Kat said they had to ride around the Outlet stores about an hour before they could find a place to park. They made it in at around 2:00 AM. Then Cindy had to be up and at Silver Dollar City by 7:00am to get half price tickets. She went and got the tickets and came back while we were all in the comforts of our beds. By the time I drug out at 8:30 Kelli, Sherrill, and Tristen were already up.Blake does his regular "rise and shine" around 6:30 am. You can tell he is a "country boy." Isaac likes sleeping in until 10:00.
Cindy has gone to Silver Dollar CIty with Tristen, Nate and Eli. Kelli and Blake are down for a morning nap. Kat is feeding Isaac, and Sherrill is roaming through the house looking for food. As for me, the day will be  spent getting organized for the "clean out" tomorrow morning. Kat plans to leave before 7:00, and we will be heading our somewhere after that. We are washing up all our clothes, and there is SO MUCH FOOD!
You can't imagine all the food we have cooked, and all that we still haven't cooked. There was plenty for ALL of you.
Sherrill is ready to get back to Jack, and I am looking forward to my bed.
Cindy and Kat have already been planning our "summer vacation". Right now they are looking at Florida, or any place on the beach. The rules this time though, everyone chips in for their rooms. They were looking at Lake Tahoe at 4th of July, but decided to move it to the east so more could attend. Any suggestions?

More pictures

Everybody's been on the go today.
Lots of eating, lots of laughing.
Everyday there's a trip to Walmart. Cindy, Kat and Sherrill are there now.

Our Excitement for the Day

Kat comes in my room this morning at 4:00 am with chest pains. I tried finding a phone number for the nearest hospital, but was to no avail. Kat was in so much pain we decided to call 911. They ask for directions to the house, like I am supposed to know that. I wake up Sherrill, he wakes up Cindy and Tristen. Nate's in the bottom floor and he hears all the excitement and comes up to check it out. The ambulance arrives, along with two riders and a separate staff that actually arrived first in her personal car. Off to the hospital we go.
They do tests, give meds, make their diagnosis.
Sorry, no more info at this time. I am bound by confidentiality until Kat agrees to a release of information. She's in bed sleeping comfortably. She's not taking calls at this time, but should be up and going by mid afternoon. That's all for now folks!

The others have arrived!

They made it safe and sound. I'll try for better pictures tomorrow. Everyone is tired and don't feel like "striking a pose". More to come.

Good Morning World!

Kat and the boys came in this morning around 4:30 AM. I don't know how she made it through those mountains.
She said all she could see were the roads, so I guess she missed out on the drop offs, that weren't even secured by guard rails. A person could run off the road, and never be found.
Sherrill cooked breakfast this morning, and I made pumpkin bread. Now we are just waiting for our late arrivals.
Oh look, Eli just came downstairs. Now this is a picture I can't resist!

Waiting for Kat........

Kat's on the plane, but should soon land in Wichita, Kansas. I'm hoping she will get a room for the night before she continues her journey here. She will be about 5 1/2 hours away, and we are having bad storms here. At one time they were calling for hail and tornadoes. You can look out the door and the rain is running down the road like a river. We are supposed to get 2 to 3 inches of rain.
Yes, they do have an airport here, but the tickets were almost doubled in price.
Stay safe Kat and boys.

Today's adventure

Today we hit downtown Branson. I had seen an advertisement of this store. You would not believe the stuff they had in here. It took us forever just to walk up and down the aisles. It was like a super sized Woolworth's or something. They had things in there you have never seen before. I think Nate and Eli will like checking this place out and seeing all the "old timey" toys. The lady in line in front of us spent almost $200.00 in old board games, jack in the box, etc.

While walking down the street we came across Branson Bill. He was sitting our front of a leather shop on a barrel. A little girl walked up to him and said, " Are you a real man?". A voice from behind us said "Yes I am."
The little girl turned around and looked and realized it was her grandfather that had spoke.
I knew I had to get a picture of Sherrill and Branson Bill.

Few pics of Branson

Today we went our for a little sight seeing, shopping, eating, riding, etc. We went to a quilt shop, flea market, craft mall, outlet malls, Walmart (again) and Sherrill ended up spending about an hour and a half at Golden Corral.
The last picture is of the zip line.....see the 3 little ants up there. Sherrill wants him and Kat to do it together.
Wonder what the chances are that this will happen?
All is well in Branson, Missouri! Wish you were here!
