Look at My Baby

Look at my baby Rendezvous. I haven't been able to get her clean after 2 months of sitting under the pine trees while I was away. We have washed her, carried her through drive through car washes, nothing worked. Today I carried her to a REAL car wash, and had 4 guys working on her. You can't see it from here, but her rims are like mirrors.
After dinner " I, me, MYSELF" went out and waxed her. I put on the wax, wiped her down the first time, then was working on the last "shining", and Sherrill came back. NOW he is ready to help. We went through the last "shining", and boy does she look good for an 11 year old!
In the meantime, the new Captiva is sitting off beside her with water spots and dust. Don't know where all this dust is coming from!
Oh, and the new Captiva, that's a story for another day!

My Guy Eli

Yep, he still looks like this. It goes down, then swells up again.
He has missed so much school it is unreal. Yesterday they even LOST him at school. Administrative staff were looking for him, and where was he......in the nurses office.
I talk to him at least twice a day. He is quite the chatterbox. I learn everything from the adventures in Mandarin class to his mean teacher in French class. And there's the project he had to do where he had to create his own civilization, country, planet, whatever. He really gets into those things.
So, if you are ever sitting around with nothing to do, give him a call. He will probably be at home taking the day off. Oh, and his grades.......still A's and B's. For real!

Mother Turns to Crowdfunding to Support Autism Classroom

RENO, Nev., Oct. 21, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- As the mother of a 7-year-old autistic son, Kathy Roller noticed a need for specialized supplies in her son's classroom and took charge by starting a crowdfunding campaign in September on MoveYourMountain.org to raise money for the classroom. Surpassing her goal of $500 in two weeks, she is excited about the impact these funds will have on the autistic children in the low-income school in Northern Nevada.

In a statement today from Mrs. Roller, "Many of our autistic kids are non-verbal and need so many specialized and expensive devices just to communicate. Although the schools try to meet the needs of every child, there are many areas that are not adequately funded.  I just wanted to step in and use a platform that I knew would yield the results I wanted and provide additional funds to support the teacher, aides, and children in the classroom."

With donations exceeding $600, Kathy hopes to raise awareness of the needs in this classroom, but also the needs of other autism classrooms and for inspired people to donate accordingly. She states, "Donations, no matter how small, can make a difference and improve the education that these children receive."

Saved for the Day

The kittens had appointments today to get spayed and neutered. Sherrill tried and tried yesterday to catch them, but to no avail. He tried the food in the carrier. They would go in, but would get out before he could close the door.

He thought he could catch them with the fish net. Boy was he wrong with that one. 

Mrs. Eva across the street was able to catch the Mama cat, who put up quite the fight. So, Mama will be off for her surgery this morning. In the meantime........... little kittens are safe!

I was cleaning off Sherrill's night stand and came across this. One half of a tank top from Victoria's Secret that he has been using for a paint rag. Who knows where the other part is?
Any of you girls want to claim it so he doesn't have to explain?  Just kidding there. If that's what it takes to get him through the day, I'll make sure he keeps them in stock. It really does feel good.
I would hate the thought of a young lady running around with a half of a shirt on!

Uncle A.T. Passed Away

Uncle A.T died yesterday.
Wake will be Friday night at the Funeral Home on Hull St Road in the Richmond area.
Funeral will be Saturday at noon at the Mormon Church.
I'll let you know more complete addresses when I get them.
Aunt Helen and her crazy self is doing fine. He got his wish, and was at home when he passed away.
