Where's Chris ? ? ? ?

Chris left his door to door sales job in Denver to head back to Reno. His first leg of the trip carried him to Salt Lake City to visit with Joe's brother and his family. I think he will be headed back to Reno today. He had about an 8 hour trip yesterday on his bike, and about that much more today.  Yesterday when he called he said he was in McDonalds, laid out on their chairs. He said his butt was really sore! Poor baby.

I have to "Blow it up" to make sure I identify MY girl. With all of their hair up, and makeup, sometimes it is hard to find her........ back row second to the end on right?

Poor Sherrill

The old man has been cleaning out the trailer since May. He finally has it almost completed with just a couple of light bulbs and batteries to add to the smoke detectors. I couldn't do much to help him on this one. It was so nasty, the dust and odors just set my allergies off to bad. I did keep up a list of what else needed to be done, and did my regular inspections. He is finally able to take off an afternoon and take a nap (him and Jack).
Now, hopefully the new renter will be in there by the first of the month. I hate paying two electric bills, water bills, and garbage pickup. Sherrill selected the renter this time. A 58 year old lady that is diabetic, and has a prosthetic leg. She doesn't have a car, doesn't drive, but her sister lives about a half mile down the road. NO KIDS, NO PETS, so hopefully no broken windows this time. So, now begins all the paperwork......government subsidies.

Granny panties are coming Back ! ! !

For the past couple of months, my lingerie shops (Livie Rae Lingerie) has been advertising full, butt covering panties. Then I saw on tv where thong sales are way down, that the new thing is more coverage.

So girls, get those strings out of your crack, and go with a little more than floss. Cover that booty!
As for me, I had rather wear no drawers at all than to have a string where it has no business being.
Now keep those G-strings around for those "naughty nights".

Mandy, go back and find all of your little boy short panties.

This was just my thought for today.

These are the kinds of things you think of when you get old. Not only must you have on clean panties when you leave the house.......now you need to be able to even FIND those panties!

Tonights dessert

Strawberries are getting a little scarce around here, so tonight's dessert will be a little different.
I got up early this morning to fix Sherrill some banana pudding before I head out to church. I even decided to change around the table cloth and place mats to liven things up a little! So, dinner is ready, and now so is dessert. Then comes the test strips! Gotta find out how much damage was done.

Sherrill went to pick up his pills today and told me to look the receipt, that they had charged him more than usual. I quickly replied that they must have given him a 90 day supply. I looked at the first receipt, and yes, he had gotten more pills. Then I looked at the second receipt.

$22.00 for RID lice removal. WHAT ? ? ? 

I asked him what kind of lice he had. He told me he didn't have lice, and he didn't buy the stuff. But Sherrill, right here is the receipt........

"Oh, that must have come from the woman in front of me", he said.

I wonder if I need to go wash his sheets just in case...........

I'm telling you folks, It's fun being OLD!

Good Job "Fat Boy"

The old man had a Dr appointment today. He went all by himself like a big boy. We knew they had to check his A1C, so I tried to feed him good things all weekend..... that was until last night when he HAD to have a Bojangles biscuit with jelly, and pound cake with his strawberries. I just knew he was going to be in BIG trouble. But nope, his numbers were good.
He did realize however that whatever he tells the girls up front, ends up in his medical records. We didn't realize he had to go every three months for lab work, until AFTER he had fussed out the pharmacy tech and I had to call the Dr office to get things straight. The receptionist had told me he only had to come once a year, but when they refused to fill his prescription he was a little ~~ well, you know how he gets.
We are back on track, so now all I have to do is no more cookies and sweets. It's going to kill him, and he gets real grouchy without sugar, but we DID get those numbers down. Pat, pat, pat, on the back, back, back!

tHE eXECUTIONER........

Last week the presents came rolling in for my birthday. Every day I had one or two new ones. When this arrived, I was a little baffled. It's an electronic fly/wasp swatter, it "fries" them on contact! I had forgotten all about it, then one night I was sitting talking to Sherrill and showed it to him. He asked me what was that for, and I told him Kat sent it to me so I could swap Jack when he was unruly, and it would work like a cattle prod. Needless to say, he picked up Jack, and went off to his room. He was mad, and I was just kidding! The next day I told Kat about it, and she said she had sent it to HIM.
She thought him and Carter might like swatting the flies.
So...we sit here with the Exterminator....waiting to see who is going to try it first!

Where's the Cake?"

A couple of days ago I grabbed an old grocery bag from the closet, and inside was an old receipt. I just threw it on the table, and went on out with the bag. When I got home, Sherrill asked me, "Where's the Cake"? I asked him what cake, and he told me he saw a receipt on the table where I had bought a cake, and some meat. He looked everywhere for that cake. Then he looked at the receipt again and saw it was dated for March. Yep, that's probably the last time we had a chocolate cake. We have been hung up on strawberry cakes.
The poor man even thought I had hid it in the refrigerator! He must have been desperate.

Summer Lovin'

I got an email from Drs on Demand and this was the picture they sent.
They say now that it is summer, and time for some "Lovin", they are there to treat all types
of STD's, etc., with just a phone call away!
Don't worry, I have their number programmed in my phone.........

My Boy is Back

Sherrill and I befriended a young guy (Able) from the neighborhood. He got in trouble for breaking and entering and went to county jail. Then he got out, but shortly thereafter got in trouble again for threatening the man he was living with. The man kicked him out, he went back to county jail, got out and moved in with an old woman down the road. After a few months he got into an argument with her, and threatened to shoot her with his BBgun, so back to jail he goes. Then somehow he disappears. He comes by the house today to look for Sherrill, because he owed Sherrill some money.
He is wearing an ankle bracelet now. I asked him when did he get out of jail, and he was quick to inform me he was in PRISON, not jail. He shot a man with something. That will be a story for another day.
At least he is honest enough to want to "work off" his debt. If it wasn't so hot, I would put him out there working........he loves to do yard work!
Sherrill tends to attract a few "shady characters". Wonder why?

Jack Update

Jack went to the vet for his checkup and shots. When the vet tried to examine him, Jack wanted no part of that. The vet gave Sherrill the muzzle to put on him, and asked Sherrill what did he have there.... a Gremlin?! Jack continued to misbehave, but the vet did his thing, and Jack came on home.
Once again.......Jack wins!

So, have you heard the story about Jack?
Sherrill decided to carry him in to the new Pet Smart for grooming. I called ahead and made sure the person doing the grooming has plenty of experience, and explained that Jack was a "little moody".
They said she had been grooming dogs for 30 years, and she could handle anything. So, Sherrill drops him off......only to be called back in 30 minutes for him to come and pick up his dog.......Jack had "Lunged" at the groomer.
Sherrill goes and picks him up, then calls the vet to set up an appointment there (his usual groomer). Again Sherrill takes Jack in, and a few minutes later she too is calling Sherrill to come and pick him up. She had gotten part of his body cut, and his little temper started showing, so she too had to stop.
Sherrill has to come home and finish up with the grooming himself. I kept telling Sherrill that Jack wasn't going to let anyone touch him!
Then I thought back to the groomer that wanted to sedate him to trim him. Now she had the right idea! But, with Jack's age, that would not be good now.
So, now what? Any volunteers to keep Jack trimmed?
And did I fail to mention Jack has an appointment for his shots next week? I know Sherrill is going to love that one!
