introducing....
Kaky Purple Roller
Incase you missed my facebook post, this is the newest member of our family. Kaky Purple Roller. She's Meghans dwarf bunny. She will only get to be 3 lbs when she's fully grown. We can't get her until 5/4 but we are all excited and can't wait. She is named after Kathy Jo, Purple because she is lilac and Meghan just says shes purple and Roller just because she's named after Kathy. (Meghan calls Kathy Jo "Kaky" so that's what Meghan and Kathy agreed on.) Kaky is the bunny in the front. Yes, there are two more but we AREN'T getting them. I think Lauren and Carter need one each!!! When we pick her up I'll take pics of her and the kids.

McEwan Update.
Alright everyone here is our update.
Kenneth is 9 years old and has been doing fairly well in school. He has his good days and bad. He then comes home does homework, chores, and if there is time to spare fights with Luke(will get to Luke soon) He asked the Easter Bunny for a water gun and he got a basket full of candy plus his water gun. I think that is about it with Ken, he's just a sweet kid that only sometimes gets in hot water.
Luke is 6 years old and loves school. He has a girlfriend Jenna. I met Jenna's mom and they both seem like nice people. Luke only goes to school half day and in the morning he sleeps in, wakes up, eat breakfast, make his sister angry, goes shopping with mom. Goes to school, comes home, does homework, chores, and picks fights with his brother Kenneth. Luke likes to talk alot and he is the best when he sleeps. He also got what he wanted from the Easter bunny
Catherine is 3 years old. She goes to school Mondays and Wednesday morning. She likes to cry when she doesn't get her way. She likes to get out of chores by going potty. She is the apple of her daddy's eye and the pain in my head. Catherine is the best at nap time.I am thankful for my 1 daughter, but she does get on my last nerve.
Jacob is 1 years old. He is the LOUDEST kid I know. He does not talk or babble, just cries or fuss's to get his way. He just a a 18 month appointment and his weight is 25 lbs and he is 34 inches long. Plus got 4 shots. He still has brown hair and blue eyes. He also love to snuggle with his mama at night (to keep from going to bed).
Christy is doing fine. I shake only about 1 week every month. I have been learning how to dehyrate food. Can and bottle food. I also keep up with the latest coupon's and sales. My bees are doing great. Bella will have her pups in 2 days. We also have 6 chicken babies. I am also looking at getting 2 baby goats to help my weed problem in my backyard. Also my plant's in my greenhouse are doing great. My peas are starting to climb up the poles. I have to weed it 2-3 times per week. THe weeds grow faster than my plants.
Kurt, well he stays at work alot. He works when he gets home. His favorite time is when we are ALL asleep. But he still loves us anyways. He's just worked to death. His current projects are finishing the chicken coop and making me a fenced in yard for my baby goats. Go Kurt Go!!
I think that is it for the update. Oh yea, me and Jacob did mow the grass for Kurt, we should get brownie points for that.

Hippity Hoppity Easter's on it's way..........
I was talking to Mandy on the phone tonight, and she asked if she could sneak in the house over night to leave Sherrill's Easter Basket. I told her NO, that I might end up shooting her. I told her to wait and bring it by after church. Sherrill overheard part of the conversation, and said, "If you have some candy, bring it now." I think he had already emptied the tootsie roll jar! So, here they come, Mandy, Meghan and two cute little baskets. Sherrill started going through his REAL FAST! So now we sit, watching TV, eating out Easter treats. Thanks Mandy!

Well for those of you who don't know. My Bella is about to have puppies. She is about 5 days away from when she goes to the vet to have the puppies removed by C-Section. We know she has at least 3 puppies but there could be lots more. So keep your finger's crossed for my baby Bella and her puppies. Who want's a puppy?

Good Bye....Farewell......
Seth is leaving tomorrow for Arizona. He is flying out tomorrow afternoon ALONE. This is his first trip on a plane by himself. I wonder how it will go????? I know he will talk the ears off the person sitting next to him. He has a direct flight to Phoenix. Mandy will put him on the plane, the flight attendant will keep up with him on the plane, and make sure he gets to his Grandma Debbie when he gets off. I am sure his Grandma will totally spoil him for the next 8 days. As for Meghan, she gets to stay here with Grandma and Papa and let us continue to spoil her. As for Seth's teacher Mrs Kelly, one week of quiet time without her favorite little "Talker"........Priceless!

The Easter Bunny Brings..........What?
Lauren comes over about every day, telling me what she wants the Easter Bunny to bring her. Do you have any idea what she wants?????? Yep, You've got it, a pink four wheeler! I keep telling her that I don't THINK the Easter Bunny can bring a 4 wheeler, but she is insistent. She did finally agree that she would just wait for Santa.
OK Santa, it's time to start saving your money!

Play Ball!
Just take a look at our new little ball players. Meghan is still in T-ball. Carter and Lauren have moved on up to the "Big time". Their coach is even using a pitching machine, with balls traveling at a rate of 27 MPH. If it were me, I'd be running the opposite way!
Batter Up!
Pictures Anyone? ? ?
I'm cleaning up, and moving out! Out of my bedroom that is. All my sewing stuff is being moved to the garage, as well as the gift wrap, party stuff, etc. This will leave room in my bedroom closet for my pictures, and a few clothes. Mandy started helping me yesterday. We got all the photo albums together, a mere 35 of them. There are still photos in boxes that need to be sorted through. It may take me a year to complete this project, but at least we have gotten started.
I believe it was Cindy that told us one time that she vacuums out her closet every time she vacuums her room. Maybe I'll be able to do this one day. In the meantime I do the OPEN and SLAM routine. OPEN the door, throw something in, and SLAM the door back, hoping to be able to close it. Well, it's not really that bad. I can walk in, and turn around. I know where everything is, there is just STUFF on top of it! I'll take a picture when I finish it!

Planting Flower Seeds
First we had to go to the back yard and find all the old flower pots. We dumped all the dirt and potting soil into a five gallon bucket, along with all the worms, bugs, and spiders and stirred it up. Everyone picked them out a pot, filled it up, and carried it to the front yard. Everyone selected the flower seeds they wanted, and planted them by themselves. Then came time to water. Sprinkle, sprinkle, drown, drown. Seth wasn't here for all the excitement, but we still have his seeds to plant. He still has his cabbage plant growing in the back yard too!

The Baby and the glue trap
Well just like the title says "The baby and the glue traps". Every night I put up a baby gate inside Jacob's and Catherine's room. So if they wake up early they have to stay in there rooms till I go get them. Normally about 7:30am. Well this morning Jacob comes to my room sporting several glue traps all over his body. Does anyone know how HARD it is to get glue off your skin. Well all Kurt could do was laugh and Jake cried, because I had to get the finger nail polish remover after him. I'm just as sticky now. What a wonderful way to wake up. By the way I'm still have not figured out how they got out.

Another lesson on CON DEN SA TION
I was in the bathroom cleaning, having a great time spraying scrubbing bubbles on the sink and counter. Meghan walks in, "Whatcha doin' Grandma?" I told her I was cleaning the nasty bathroom. "Blue Clorox works better", she said. I explained to her I was cleaning the sink, and not the toilet. "So, don't you think that needs cleaning too!?"
I just kept on cleaning, by this time working on the mirror. Next come the question of the day,
"Grandma, why is it when you take a shower the mirror gets cloudy?". I'm thinking, I know, I know, we have already had this lesson. "CON DEN SA TION", I replied. Remember, when the hot water toucher the cold mirror, what do you get? "A wet mirror" she replies.
Then the follow up question, "Grandma, how do you know so much." "I learned it in science class in school. Just wait until you go to school," I replied with a smile on my face.

Mandy.....a Kid all over again!

Sherrill brought some boxes to the house that I am going to donate to the women's shelter. There were all kinds of new stuffed animals, little toys, and things. When Mandy came in from work she immediately started rummaging through boxes. One of the boxes she opened had trolls in them. Yes, those long shaggy haired things with big eyes. She was so excited. She started pulling them out of the boxes, but then heard children talking. She took her trolls, crammed them in a box, and SAT on the box! Lauren, Carter, and Izzy came in, and there was Mandy.....sitting on her box!
She wasn't about to share. Now, I have to give her credit, she was the one that talked me into ordering all of those things in the first place. So now, 15 years later, she has her trolls, in excellent condition (probably about 25 of them)! Let's see if she will let you have one.

Mom's Birthday Party
Don't worry folks, my next trip home I will get copies of those pictures and post them along with all of these, so years from now, we will know that Mandy was there too!
Thanks Larry for planning the party, getting the food, cake, drinks and everything. You are a good little brother!
