You gotta love this kid!

I get a phone call last night about 9:30. It's Eli calling. He is telling me he wants to raise money for brain tumor kids. He wants the money to go for research development, so kids won't have to deal with brain tumors. To back up a little here, he recently learned that a friend of his from Washington state had brain surgery to have her tumor removed, but they couldn't get it all. As a result, she is loosing her sight, and had another surgery scheduled for this week. Things developed too rapidly, now they can't do the surgery, and she starts with radiation. This little girl is the same age as Eli, and went to church with him in Washington.
Before that, they lived in Las Vegas, and the families were real close, both dads working for Bank of America.

Eli was wondering what he could do to raise money. His first thought was selling something at school. I told him to check to see what organizations of foundations there were out there. He runs up stairs, gets on his mom's computer, and goes straight to google. He finds there is a foundation at Stanford (yes, where Isaac had his surgery). Now he wants to start raising money. Isn't he the best kid ever? I can't wait to see what he ends up doing.

Here's her family blog ......  http://thepowers-thatbe.blogspot.com
