I think I figured it out. I think it might be a
seiryu. And, I think I will plant them just like in the first picture, in the back yard in front of the fence. They need to be in partial shade, and the back yard is real shady. I just can't figure out how Japanese trees ended up in NC woods. I still haven't decided if I should leave them in pots, or plant them. My friend gave 3 of us two trees each, and my two are the only ones that survived. I'm not sure how they will like the back yard!
