Grandma Cat got a phone call today. "Hey Grandma, know who this is". She immediately responds it sounds like Daniel or Brandon, so it must be Brandon. Yeah Grandma, I'm in Spain.......and so the story goes. He claims to have won a trip to Spain, picked up some hitchhikers, got pulled over by the police, drugs were found in the vehicle, got arrested and needs $1500.00 to $1800.00 to get out of trouble.
Now, anyone that talks to Grandma knows she asks a thousand questions.......which she did. The last question she asked was "Brandon, are you pulling a trick on me, or is this a scam?" The phone immediately hung up. She had read about such a scam in the Reader's Digest. She was ready for this one.
You do realize that most senior seniors get most of their information from the Reader's Digest, AARP,
Dr Phil, and the Doctors. Sure am glad mom was prepared, and didn't give out any information. She still thinks the Nigerians are out to get her money!
Lesson learned: YOU DON'T MESS WITH GRANDMA CAT!
