To put it short.....
There was a fire that burned about 1/2 acre behind us, and burned the back of the barn....
Judy ran to the rescue....(not a pretty sight!)
I ran water on the back of the barn, under the barn, and the fence to keep the fire from spreading UNTIL the real firemen came.....about 8 or 9 of them! There were 5 fire trucks, a utility truck, and all kinds of flashing lights.
All of this happened during nap time, so the kids missed it.
The firemen were nice enough to pull over half of the stuff out of the barn, so they could spray down the the back wall.
Thanks Abby for letting us know about the fire, and for calling 911. Thanks also to the unknown neighbor that called 911 even before Abby did! And thanks Mandy for keeping us calm through all the excitement.
Well, I've had my exercise for this month! Time to take a break!
