Today is Uncle Hallett's 89th birthday.
He was only 14 when his dad died, and had to quit school to work on the farm. He enlisted in the army when he was just 18 and served during WWII. All he had to say about that was he "didn't do much". He married the love of his life in 1949. (2nd wife in above picture)
I just LOVE this man!
