The battle has begun. The groundhog is after Grandaddy Joe's vegetables. He's been eating the watermelon plants, and has gone for a few beans. Added to that is the doe and fawn that has been eating the corn. Grandaddy is putting up and electric fence around the corn, but the old groundhog just has his way with the other vegetables. He has tried to catch him with a rabbit box, but that doesn't work. I have a wire box I am going to take him. I had to research to see what groundhogs eat, and it seems their favorite food is apple slices. I didn't even know we had groundhogs in NC. Dad said the governor had some sent in because they are such an endangered species. If dad gets his hands on this one....He is in danger!
