No....this is not a picture of the PJ party. This is a picture Dan took during the snow. We only got 10 inches! We took down the outside decorations except the deer before the snow started. Now, back to the party. Everyone is having a great time. Isabella is hanging in there with the big kids. I line them up, point to them, and make them shout out their ages........Here they go...2, 4, 4, 4, 5, 6, 9. I mix them all up and point to different ones, and they will shout out someone else's age by mistake. It was hilarious. Then they just HAD to learn how to pitch pennies for the line. Well, we used nickels, and they pitched to a square in the rug. The winner got to pitch first the next game. We have some potential gamblers in the group! Dinner was a simple hot dog and chips..... except of course for Cameron. He had put in a special request for ham and macaroni and cheese. Two servings of mac and cheese (he is of course Kelli's little brother)! We had our arts and crafts, watched a little TV, put our PJ's on and then went for our bedtime milk and cookies. Some chose Pop tarts instead of cookies though. Cameron looked up and said, "Grandma, are we going to do this every night"? " Sure we are", I told him.
The kids are really bonding with each other. Olivia looks up to Seth to help her turn lights on and off. Cameron is a little "father hen" with Isabella. He goes and gets her whatever she asks for. He makes sure I serve her first, and she gets what she wants first. Meghan and Lauren are still struggling to see who is the "Queen Bee", and poor Seth is still trying to figure out where he fits in. One minute he might be playing video games with Cameron, then Cameron leaves him to go play with the "little kids". Carter just does his own thing. He's so easy going, everyone will play with him. Carter and Cameron are good with building the castles and playing with the heavy trucks and tractors. Lauren has spent alot of time sitting on my lap. She seems to be just a little shy with all this excitement, and this is not the way she usually is. Meghan is still trying to let me know that she is the boss. She has just settled down now, and is actually being really quiet. As for Sherrill and Jack, they are just sitting back watching everyone. Sherrill takes charge of Izzy when I am working with the others.
There have only been two crying episodes. One sister hit her brother, and the brother cried. Sister got placed in Grandma's chair, then sister cried. I'm not mentioning any names though. It was all over with in two minutes or less.
Believe it or not, NO ONE has asked to go home. Not even Isabella. Everyone is happy and excited. All of you mom and dads would be very happy with your little ones. So, you can go to bed now, and get some rest. Just know that your little ones are partying madly with Grandma and Papa!
And by the way......... tonight Grandma gets all the kisses!
:) Sounds like Cameron needs another little sibling! Thanks Cameron!
