Lychee

This is what we got in our weekly fruit basket. It's called a Lychee and there from Mexico. Here is what we found on the web about our new fruit If you can't peel off the shell with your fingers, it's ok. You may also use a knife to peel the lychee. To make things easier, you can also cut the white/gray part of the lychee off of the seed. Peel it above a sink or a napkin to make things less messy. Be careful with the knife if you choose to use one to peel your lychee. ** Do not eat the lychee seed. It is slightly poisonous.** Did you see that last part, the seed is just SLIGHTLY poisonous. Well just to let you know that the Lychee is GROSS and we will not be eating anymore. This would make a wonderful gift to folks you just don't like.

  1. Dry the seeds, and use them as weapons.
