Mandy update

Okay...now that I'm done picking on mom I'll do a real post. :)

The kids will be home from Dec 22-26. Yes, I get them all day CHRISTMAS Day (aka Jamie Day). :). I don't get to talk to them when they are gone. So I basically talk to them 6 days a month. Nice right?!?!

I transferred to the Target in Greenville the week everyone was in Branson. It took a few days to get use to the people but they aren't so bad after all. Today I met a guy who's from Grantham. For those of you that remember Mrs Renee Caps from Brogden, it's her son. He was all excited that I knew where he was from and that I knew who his mom was.

Finals for me a today and next Tuesday. Then classes will be over until Jan 9. I'm really looking forward to a break. Now all I need to do is ace my interview this weekend so I can get a better paying job, lol

Me and my "friend" are still doing okay sometimes. I had a heart to heart and had to let him know he had to stop getting upset over what he thinks I'm doing or stressing over nothing, I think the latest argument was because I never told him the truck was in dans name. I mean really... :). But I did go home with him for Thanksgiving and met most of his family. Hs mom is moving back in a few weeks and I'm looking forward to meeting her. And yes, they are a bunch of true rednecks and Love UNC!

Okay...I think that's it. Besides, I've gotta go so I can study for my Math final. Hope everyone has a great day. :)

Good luck Mandy

Since mom didn't make a post or call, I'll just have to do if for her. Lol

Good luck on your finals today Mandy!!!

Christmas

I need all little children (under 18) to please put your pants size down(under the comment section). I am making Christmas pants again for the kids and need current sizes. Please the sooner the better. Tristen can you add Nate's size and Kelli add Blake's size.

Thanks

Little Jackson Evans

More pictures stolen from Facebook.  Meet my nephew, Brandon's son Jackson. Cute little thing isn't he?  They live in Austin, Texas. I just LOVE little baby pictures, and there's plenty to be found!

Christmas shopping anyone?

Can you believe I haven't been out Christmas shopping yet?  I have bought a few things online, but I
have really been slack so far this year. That trip to Branson has really put me behind schedule. Sherrill
has been working every day, and I'm waiting for him to come along. I should have been out in these 70 degrees day.
I guess I had better get out and go load that car up!

Kat baking? NOT!

Check out Kat's  countingtoten.com blog and look how she made these.
Cute little "Santa hat's". She cheated. She didn't even bake the brownies!

Kenny going hunting

Kenny and Kurt are getting ready to go hunting. Wonder how he will manage a night out in the cold and snow. This is the boy (like all of them) that likes video games and music. I can't wait to hear how it goes!

Does this apply to YOU?

More Christmas Decorations

Sherrill got the rest of the Christmas decorations out yesterday. He had hung the lights before we left for vacation, but I didn't want to put the other things out until we got back. Every year we always have some strong winds that blow my Mr and Mrs Snowman over. We stake them in the ground, but they still fall over. So, now everything is set up, lights, snowmen, Christmas boxes, and reindeer. I guess the reindeer are out there. I really didn't see them last night. Mandy usually helps setting the timer. Last one night one half of the house turned off before the other side of the house. Looks like there needs to be some minor adjustments made.

I'm feeling a little under the weather, so if there aren't recent posts, that's the reason why. I thought Christy
was going to make a post for yesterday. She called to tell me about all the snow they had. Can't you just imagine Christy beating a path to the chicken pen to gather the eggs? And then on to feed the goats? Kurt was at work, so she had that job. I'll bet the goats don't like all that snow.
Hey Cricket, I'm still waiting to see pictures!

21 Days 'til Christmas everyone. Better get crackin'!

Settling in nicely

Sherrill is finally over his stomach troubles. Jack still thinks he rules the roost. He has even been bold enough to lay back in MY chair. Now this dog knows better than that. At times he does attempt to get on the couch, but gets put in his place. It's only until recently he has moved over to MY spot. I still think Mandy let him sit with her in my chair while I was gone. This dog needs some good discipline!

With all the food I brought back home, I still had to make a Walmart run yesterday. I think there's enough food in the house now to last through the winter, or even longer. I can't wait to make Cindy's fruit salad.
Sherrill continues to "Pack it in". I don't know where that man puts all that he eats.Since I thought about it though, he does pass alot of gas. I guess he just converts it into energy.

No news for today. I go to work at church in a little while. All is well in the world.

Have a good day everyone!

Last of the Pictures

I am NOT going to sleep!

Just waiting for some food.

Always smiling!

Before I got sick.

Branson Bill put away for the night.

Come on, I'll hold you.

After I got sick.

Smile....time to go.

These were some of the last pictures in the camera. You can just look at Tristen and tell how bad she felt before she left.  I hope she is all better now. Sherrill went back to work today. I guess he's better.

Sherrill sick!

Sherrill woke up this morning with the same stomach bug. He spent most of the morning in the bathroom. At one point he tried to get Mandy to take him to work. They made it as far as the store to purchase some Gatorade, and he came on back home and went to bed. He's up now, and has decided to give it another try.
He has to go to Princeton to check out a house that is supposed to close tomorrow.

Now he knows how Tristen felt! Poor little Isaac had it too yesterday.

On the Road Again

Kat left this morning around 6:30. She had to drive to Wichita, Kansas, (5 1/2) hours, board the plane. Fly 2 hours. Off the plane at Las Vegas, then drive 6 hours to Reno. She made it to Vegas, now she is on her way home. Cindy, Kelli and the kids made it home safely. Sherrill and I are in Lexington, Kentucky. We still have 545 miles, (9 hours) to go. We lost and hour today because of time change. I have to make it home tomorrow before dark.

Our hotel is right next door to Cracker Barrel, so Sherrill just walked over to pick us up to dinners. Nice!
I'm exhausted, so I'm cutting this post short.
Hope everyone had a good day!

Megs favorite uncle

She was so happy to see her Uncle Jamie.  When she saw him she jumped out of the truck and ran over to see him.  :)

Busy, Busy Day

Today has been another one of those days. After getting in around 2:00 AM, poor Cindy had to get up around 6:00 to be at Silver Dollar City by 7:00 to get half price tickets. She was coming in the house as Sherrill was getting out of bed. After that she helped get the "crew" fed and carried Tristen, Nate and Eli to the amusement park. Sherrill, Kat, Isaac, Kelli, Blake and I stayed behind. We just kind of "veged out". Cindy brought the kids home around 2 for lunch, then by 5 they were off again to the park for more rides and to watch the light parade.
While she was gone this time Sherrill, Kat, Iassac and I went downtown for some last minute shopping. Kelli stayed home and got ready. Then when Cindy got back with the kids her and Kelli went out for some last minute shopping. The boys were exhausted, and just laid out watching TV on their return.

Most of the food has been thrown out, cars partially packed, and all the little angels are now in bed. It's been a long day for everyone, but an exciting one. This has been one fantastic week. Not a cross work has been spoken, except for me fussing at Sherrill's driving! I think everyone has thoroughly enjoyed themselves. This will be a vacation that we will never forget. For those of you that weren't able to come, we hope to see you next time. It was nice keeping in touch with all of you with phone calls, texts, emails, and pictures.

We will be up at 5:30 AM preparing for our departure home. Kat leaves first at 6:30 driving to Wichita Kansas to board her flight. Cindy plans on leaving at 7:30 back to South Dakota, and we will be leaving shortly after that. Please keep all of us in your prayers as we travel. Thank Cindy, Kat, Kelli and family for making this trip such a great one!
I love you all.

Food, Food, Food

Have I told you yet that we have had the best food ever! Kat just made us some potato soup that was delicious!
I watched Cindy make her fruit salad the other day, and I am going to try to put the recipe here. I'll get her to check it and see if it is right. She makes the sauce the night before.
 Cindy's Fruit Salad
Sauce:
2 Tablespoons Butter
1 heaping spoon Flour
1 egg
juice from 1 can chunk pineapple (save chunks for next day)
Sugar (Sweeten to taste
1. Melt 2 tablespoons butter in saucepan.
2. Stir in a heaping spoonful of flour. Stir, mash, poke, whatever. It will eventually form a ball.
3. Add in 1 egg. Stir, mash, poke or whatever.
4. Add the juice from a can of  chunk pineapple. Continue to stir.
5. Add sugar, a few tablespoons to 1/4 cup.(Sweeten to taste)
6. Continue to stir until mixture thickens.
7. Place in bowl and refrigerate overnight.
 Fruit Mixture

Wash apples, core. Leave peelings on and dice. Place in large bowl. Peel and dice bananas and add to bowl.
Add in can of pineapple chunks. Stir gently. Add in sauce mixture from above. This stuff is great!

Thanksiving night/Black Friday

Cindy, Kat, and Kelli left around 9:30 last night to go get some deals. The stores here opened at 10:00pm. They did the customary Walmart, Best Buy, and the Outlet stores. Kat said they had to ride around the Outlet stores about an hour before they could find a place to park. They made it in at around 2:00 AM. Then Cindy had to be up and at Silver Dollar City by 7:00am to get half price tickets. She went and got the tickets and came back while we were all in the comforts of our beds. By the time I drug out at 8:30 Kelli, Sherrill, and Tristen were already up.Blake does his regular "rise and shine" around 6:30 am. You can tell he is a "country boy." Isaac likes sleeping in until 10:00.
Cindy has gone to Silver Dollar CIty with Tristen, Nate and Eli. Kelli and Blake are down for a morning nap. Kat is feeding Isaac, and Sherrill is roaming through the house looking for food. As for me, the day will be  spent getting organized for the "clean out" tomorrow morning. Kat plans to leave before 7:00, and we will be heading our somewhere after that. We are washing up all our clothes, and there is SO MUCH FOOD!
You can't imagine all the food we have cooked, and all that we still haven't cooked. There was plenty for ALL of you.
Sherrill is ready to get back to Jack, and I am looking forward to my bed.
Cindy and Kat have already been planning our "summer vacation". Right now they are looking at Florida, or any place on the beach. The rules this time though, everyone chips in for their rooms. They were looking at Lake Tahoe at 4th of July, but decided to move it to the east so more could attend. Any suggestions?
