Look what we found crawling around in our backyard!!!?? A TURTLE! James measured his shell to be about 30" round. The kids loved him ;) BUT he needed WATER. So, after figuring out what to put him so he wouldn't escape, we took him down to the River and set him Free! He appreciated it too ;)

Gwamma, Gwaamma

Yes, I heard that little voice again calling, "Gwamma, Gwamma." I keep telling her she has to come to me to tell me what she wants instead of me looking for her. So, here she comes. Wash cloth covering up the most private parts.
"Gwamma", she said, "Where's the toilet paper".
I was on the phone with Kat and she told me to ask her where it was.
"Megan, Kat wants to know where we keep the toilet paper"
"In the bathroom closet," she replied.
"Well, go get it then!

Off she went, parts of that little bottom peering out through the wash cloth.

Is it REALLY expired? ? ?

I'm fixing a roast for dinner today, and am out of my regular cream of mushroom soup and Lipton onion soup mix. So I dig in the pantry closet, looking for substitutes. Is a can of 2007 Beef Broth REALLY expired? I looked at it, smelled it, but decided in the long run to pour it down the drain. So, back to the basics, salt, pepper, a few spices, onions, potatoes, and carrots.

Meghan saw me with the carrot peeler and wanted to give it a try. So, I gave her a potato, and the peeler, and off she went. She still doesn't believe she can make a FRENCH FRY out of that potato!

Baby Lizard has Returned!

The lizard is back! The little one anyway. I haven't seen the mom around for a while. This little one was out playing with Jack in the patio today. He even waited long enough for me to go grab my camera!
I guess I'll have to give the old boy a name.

Another Plan!

I am concerned that the lodge we have sleeps 22. If all of us show up, WE will be over the limit. Back up plan is, I think I am going to reserve a 2 bedroom condo right down the road from the lodge. I'm just going to reserve it Monday-Friday. That way, we will be sure to have enough room if everyone shows up. And, if people cancel out a week before, there will be no charge to me! This property is located at
16 Willow Oak Lane, and the lodge is at 147 Willow Oak Lane.

The second option would be to reserve a place in downtown Branson. That is about 11 miles away. Then when we need bathroom breaks, or naps for the kids, we can go there to hang out.
Any suggestions?

  A lady in Germany is having the same problem with her blog. Here's what she said to do:

Anyway, clear "cookies" and "cache," re-start your browser, and then when you sign in on the Google sign-in page, put your email address and password, but "UN-CHECK" the box that says "remember my password?"  It's brilliant!  Now everything is OK and every site I've tried knows I'm signed in, thus I can now leave comments!

This MOM is stressing!

I called the realtor to confirm my reservation, and she said everything looked OK. I told her I was nervous because the property was on lots of other sites, and I wanted to make sure it was NOT overbooked. She said, "Well, if it is, we will rebook you into one of the exact same houses with a boat slip, canoe, and paddle boat." NO, that is NOT what I wanted. I didn't bother to tell her the SAME lodge was on another site for $800.00 MORE! I had even already emailed that site, and they realized that Kat had emailed them yesterday, and asked me if I had family coming from Vegas.

So, for now I am waiting to hear from the realtor. I don't approve of a bait and switch routine. Any suggestions?
