Seth and Meghan and Mother's Day

Seth and Meg were here for the weekend. Mandy carried them to Raleigh to Pullen Park Sunday on their way home. They LOVED it. The last time I was in that pedal boat we ran up on a snake. Instead of Sherrill turning to get us out of there, he kept trying to back up to shore so he could see it better.

Mother's Day was great! Thanks for all the calls, cards, gifts, and my 4 rocking chairs. I especially LOVED talking to the grandkids. And Tristen, getting your permit early has really thrown me off with the age. But Grandpa kept telling me you were turning 15. I just wouldn't listen.......as usual. You are a beautiful young lady, inside and out.

Eli and Harry Potter Party

So, I know you probably saw this on Facebook. A young lady in Eli's class at school was having a Harry Potter Bday party. She told each attendee what they needed to dress up like. Eli was given the caretaker (I forgot his name) and his cat. He needed a broom to take, so I sent Kat to the asian market to get one like I had. The first store she bought one, but didn't really like it. Then she went to another store, and bought one like mine, but thought it was going to be too short. So, Joe took the first one, got a stick and attached to it, and it worked PERFECT. Eli said he had the second best broom there.
The best one of course going to the Birthday girl, who got her's from Universal Studios!

Cameron and Camp

I talked with Cameron when he returned from his Camp. He said he went down the zipline, did canoeing, archery, tieter ball, shot bb guns, archery, and all kinds of stuff.
I think he had a good time. He did admit to missing his sister "just a little".

Jack went to the vet today, and spent half the day there with the groomer.
Her Comments
"He was a little stinker, but I love him anyway."
"Jack is NOT a big fan of getting groomed."

Oh well, all of that hair is gone anyway. He looks half the size!

Vintage Metal Foot Skates

I came across these on the shop goodwill website.

These ARE NOT vintage!

This is what I TRIED to learn how to roller skate on. I never learned! Yes, I was a chicken.

One size fit all. See the screw in the middle that you used to adjust them? You just put your foot on there, shoes on of course. The strap is missing in these. You could also adjust the width up at the top.
